About Me
Hello, my name is Gabe, and I am a fourth-year Architecture student graduating this May with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. I plan to continue my education next year to earn my Master of Architecture degree and further develop my skills as a designer.
I have always been interested in the built environment. I originally planned to pursue Landscape Architecture, but during my freshman year, an Architectural History class changed my path. The passion my professor brought to the subject opened my eyes to the depth and impact of architecture, and from that moment on, I knew this was the direction I wanted to follow.
I continue to be inspired by the incredible architectural works of the past, iconic structures like La Sagrada Familia, Fallingwater, and even my hometown church, St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Delano, Minnesota. These places remind me that architecture has the power to shape experiences, create meaning, and leave lasting impressions on communities.
What motivates me most is the complexity of architecture. I enjoy using design to respond to challenging site conditions and to meet the specific needs of users. Each project presents a new opportunity to think creatively and develop solutions that are not only visually compelling, but also functional and sustainable and, in the best cases, inspiring.
I value collaboration and enjoy working with others to bring ideas to life. My past internship in Construction Management has given me a practical understanding of how designs move from concept to construction, allowing me to approach projects with a strong sense of realism and attention to detail.
Throughout my undergraduate studies, I found that the concentration required to construct intricate models is both calming and fulfilling. I've shared some of my favorite developmental studio models below.
